Markus Reule is Founding Partner at Mellum Capital, based in London.

He covers all aspects of our investment banking advisory practice. Prior to setting up Mellum Capital in 2021, Markus had joined Brookfield Financial (BFIN) in 2016 to set up the firm’s global financial institutions advisory practice. He also held a number of senior roles at BFIN including as global Chief Operating Officer and as Managing Partner with responsibility for European investment banking. His experience also includes a 16 year career at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, where he served in a number of senior roles managing teams and businesses in the UK, Germany and Italy, including as Managing Director Financial Institutions Advisory & Structuring, as Managing Director Asset Backed Finance Europe and as Co-Head of Secured Debt EMEA.

Markus started his career at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. He qualified as a banker (Bankkaufmann) in Germany and studied business administration at the universities of Tübingen and Edinburgh.
